Meet Bostik's Engineering Adhesives team... Maura Ogurek

Maura Ogurek profile

Introducing Maura Ogurek, Content Marketing Manager, Advanced Packaging and Durable Goods (AMAS).

1) Hi Maura, can you please give us an overview of your background and how you arrived at your current role?

Maura: I joined Bostik’s industrial marketing communications team in 2015 as the Marketing Communications Specialist. At the time, we didn’t have much of a digital footprint or online presence, so we quickly worked to develop a blog, email nurturing programs and social media campaigns – to name a few. This helped us establish a best-practice digital content strategy aimed at understanding our audiences to ensure we provide them with the right content at the right time, addressing what they need to know and when they want to know it. As my role expanded and our team grew, I became the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist and most recently, the Content Marketing Manager for Bostik’s Advanced Packaging and Durable Goods business units in the Americas. Now, in overseeing a Graphic Designer, Videographer and Content Marketing Specialist, our priorities include providing relevant news and resources to make it easier for our audience to meet their goals, while also positioning Bostik as a helpful thought leader.

2) What are your key responsibilities?

Maura: I primarily oversee content creation and digital media strategy for our industrial market and distribution teams and support other regional and global marketing communication initiatives, ensuring sales and marketing alignment to facilitate lead generation efforts. For Engineering Adhesives in particular, this includes writing problem/solution focused content designed to help our audiences better understand how these products can both address current pain points and prevent future ones.

3) What do you enjoy about your role within the Born2Bond team?

Maura: I appreciate being part of this global, collaborative team and enjoy learning about all the innovative adhesive technologies – instant adhesives, anaerobic adhesives, gasketing solutions and so on – while also working with cross-functional knowledge experts to help our audiences find value in them. It’s clear the team cares a lot about these products and the positive difference they can make across various industries and applications.

4) What initiatives or projects are you most proud of since joining the Born2Bond team?

Maura: I’m most proud of our Born2Bond webinar events. I think they serve as a very valuable, multi-purpose tool from a digital strategy perspective, as they allow us to speak directly to a global audience during the live webinar and continue to nurture audiences with on-demand access. Additionally, they are a great example of a cross-functional, collaborative effort designed to help others, which I think gets to the heart of what this team is all about.
